LEGO Sanrio is coming in 2027—and we’re already making shelf space

Hello Kitty and Friends are coming to LEGO in 2027, and we’re excited to see what this new theme brings. A new IP means a fresh corner of the collection to explore: new characters, different builds, and hopefully a few sets that earn a permanent spot on the shelf.
For us, the big question is how LEGO will bring the characters to life. Could we get Sanrio minifigures? New molded heads? Brick-built figures? Nothing has been revealed yet, but the possibility of collecting Hello Kitty and her friends in LEGO form has our attention.
The announcement image gives us Hello Kitty, Kuromi, and My Melody above a yellow LEGO bag. We’re keen to see how that look translates into actual sets—and whether the first wave gives us a small introduction to the theme or a whole lineup to collect.
LEGO and Sanrio have confirmed a multi-year partnership, with products starting in 2027. Set names, prices, piece counts, and the exact launch date are still to come. Minifigures are on our wish list, but they haven’t been confirmed.
We’ll be following the reveals here at Brick.Deals, looking at the builds, the characters, and what each set offers collectors. And once they’re on sale, we’ll be watching for good deals too. If Sanrio is about to claim some of your shelf space, we’ll help you keep an eye on the prices.
Which character are you hoping LEGO includes in the first wave?
